This podcast is a recording of the opening talk I gave at a weekend Women's Lent Retreat at St. Ignatius Retreat House in Manhasset, NY, March 9-11, 2012. In this opening talk I talk about pilgimage as a metaphor for our lenten journey and our lives, and about how the weekend would process. After my talk, the retreatants did an exercise that asked them to chart a period of their live, looking at both external events and their spiritual state. The podcast, which runs for about 20 minutes) ends at hte point when the retreatants began the exercise. (It actually continues to run for a minute or so after I finished giving instructions for the exercise.) |
